About the role
Runs the yard day to day: receiving loads, directing sorting and grading, keeping the cutting and baling moving, and making sure the yard stays safe and orderly while it does.
What you will do
- Plan each shift so incoming loads are received, weighed and placed without delay.
- Direct the sorting and grading crews and check the grades they produce.
- Keep cutting, baling and loading areas safe, tidy and clearly marked.
- Report daily progress and any incident to the yard manager.
What you will bring
- Experience in a scrap yard, steel yard or similar operation
- Able to identify and separate ferrous and non-ferrous grades
- Comfortable directing a crew and enforcing safe practice
- Arabic or English, and a valid Kuwait residency
